Streaming host

A Streaming Host is a service that receives an encoded video signal and makes it available to people watching it on the internet. Most hosts automatically adjust the resolution and bitrate of the video being shared relative to the audience member's internet connection. Examples of common Streaming hosts

Note that the same video signal can be sent to multiple hosts if the venue on the worship event has sufficient bandwith to support multiple connections (check out multiple streams to learn more) OR a restreaming service is used.

Most streaming services (including YouTube and Facebook) allow "embedding" a video window in other websites (such as your church website) in addition to watching the stream on the host's website.
