We have a beautiful  church a rural Saskatchewan town of 2500 people. The architecture is "cathedral" with stained glass and lots of carved wood. Most funerals and many weddings are held in our sanctuary (except Catholic).  It was built in 1906. Tradintional, familiar hymns and services work well in this church. The congregation enjoys Music Sundays, Pot Lucks, community dinners, etc.

Our peoople are mainly older (80s, 90s) Caucasian, retired farmers, teachers, etc. We do have one East Indian family, a couple of Indigenous young people and a young Caucasian family with children. Many of the older folk were baptized, confirmed and married in this church.

They do seem to naturally prefer a male minister, though we haven't has one for years. There is a new openness lately to Licensed Lay Worship leaders - I am one and another is nearing completion of training. These folks are engaged and open to trying new things sometimes and connecting with each other.
