The congregation that I lead worship for, is mainly a traditional recipient of the music choices for service, and come from the Book of Praise.
We do engage in community events where "outside of the normal" music is presented, and is welcomed joyfully.
I choose the hymns for each service (the congregation's choice and music leaders) and although the Presbyterian Church's liturgical choice of hymns helps (I don't always like the choices), I find that I search using the Book of Praise and the internet to choose hymns that will go along with the scripture lessons and message of the day.
