In
this four-week lesson, we will explore a story of Jesus appearing to the
disciples after his resurrection. A handful of
disciples went out to fish one day while Jesus stood on the shore, but the
disciples did not realize it was Jesus. When they weren’t catching any fish,
the man (Jesus) told them to cast their nets on the other side of the boat.
When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number
of fish! Jesus leaves them all with messages to “take care of my sheep,” and
“feed my lambs,” inviting his disciples to care
for others. This reminds us to follow Jesus' example of love and service,
helping those in need and being kind to everyone. In this lesson, we’ll explore
all these themes, and more!
We
encourage you to put together a lesson that works best with your group's needs
(ages, energy levels, one room/multi room, etc.) Reach out if you have any
questions or need any guidance.
