This four-week unit on The Lord’s Prayer is
based on the teachings of Jesus found in the New Testament, especially in
Matthew 6:9–13 and Luke 11:2–4. Throughout the unit, we will focus on learning,
discussing, and applying the meaning of this special prayer in our daily lives.
The Lord’s Prayer is one of the most important and well-known prayers in
Christianity. Taught by Jesus himself, this prayer helps us learn how to talk
with God and understand who God is, our Creator, our Helper, and our Guide. Over
the four weeks, learners will explore each part of The Lord’s Prayer in fun,
meaningful, and age-appropriate ways. We will learn that God is close, loving,
and wants us to live in kindness, peace, and connection with others.
We
encourage you to put together a lesson that works best with your group's needs
(ages, energy levels, one room/multi room, etc.) Reach out if you have any
questions or need any guidance.
