During this Lenten season, we will explore the seven "I am" statements Jesus shares in the book of John. When Jesus was alive, people had difficulty understanding who he was and what he was on earth to do, so he used seven "I am" statements to explain his being and purpose. Jesus' purpose was so big he used symbols to help his followers understand. Still today, we need some help understanding who Jesus is, so throughout this month, we will turn to these statements from John to explore who Jesus is to the world and to us.
