This four-week lesson plan explores the life of the prophet
Ezekiel. Ezekiel’s
ministry occurred over several decades while God’s people were in exile in Babylon.
This was a time of deep anguish and disorientation. Ezekiel helps make sense of
this experience by pointing to where God is at work in and through this
experience. This curriculum specifically focuses on the vision God gave Ezekiel
of a valley of dried bones. God encourages Ezekiel to speak to the bones, and
then with the Spirit they reassemble, become bodies, and can breathe again! God
promises that this is a sign of what God will do with God’s people. Just like
God raised people from slavery in Egypt, so too God will raise them from exile
in Babylon. This month, we’ll explore stories of rebirth and renewal with God.
We encourage you to put together a lesson
that works best with your group's needs (ages, energy levels, one room/multi room, etc.) Reach out
if you have any questions or need any guidance.
