In this five-week curriculum, you will explore the family tree of Abraham and the importance of our ancestors. Trees hold significant symbolism in the Bible. They are used to describe the relationship between God and humanity, and human relationships with one another. From the very beginning of creation, trees play a significant role in life, growth, provision, and family. The tree is a symbol of where God meets with people from the Bible, and blesses them as part of God's family. This curriculum follows the stories of Abraham and Sarah; Isaac and Rebecca; Jacob and Esau; Leah and Rachel; and in the final week asks participants to write their own story about their community of faith and their own family. You will discover amazing stories from our ancestors, and maybe share some of your own!
