In this four-week curriculum, you will learn how important food and water was to the Israelites in their time in the wilderness and Exodus. Beginning with Moses being saved from death by floating to a new life in a river; to the story of the first Passover meal when God saved all Israelites from death; the feast of manna and quail in the wilderness, and finally the ten commandments this curriculum invites you to think about how God works in us and through us with food and sustenance. This curriculum was initially created for the month of October - so has themes of the holidays and celebrations within that month. Days like, Worldwide Communion, World Food Day, and Thanksgiving – all of which invite you to celebrate God’s provision through gifts of harvest and abundance, and the story of the Exodus helps you to understand this too. The stories and activities can be used all year round though!
We encourage you to put together a lesson that works best with your group's needs (ages, energy levels, one room/multi room, etc.) Reach out if you have any questions or need any guidance.
