This practicum-based course invites students into the lived practice of ministry leadership through supervised field education in a parish or ministry setting. Integrating academic study with hands-on experience, students engage in weekly supervision, collaborative reflection, and peer learning to deepen their understanding of leadership in real-world contexts.
Through guided theological reflection and intentional practice, participants develop core competencies in spiritual formation, liturgical leadership, pastoral care, administration, and mission. Emphasis is placed on self-awareness, vocational discernment, and the ability to navigate complex pastoral situations with insight and integrity.
Students will articulate personal learning goals, undertake a ministry leadership project, and reflect critically on their experiences through structured case studies. The course fosters growth in reflective practice, communication, and adaptive leadership, preparing students for ongoing formation in diaconal or priestly ministry.
Delivered online, this course combines synchronous learning with contextual placement, offering a dynamic environment for integrating faith, learning, and leadership in community.
