Most commonly known as the “Ten Commandments”, this four-week lesson plan will explore the ten rules God gave to Moses, to give to the Israelite people, asking them to follow in this way of life. This lesson will refer to them as “promises” as children can understand that concept from a young age. We will talk about what it means to promise to love God; to rest well; to respect our parents, mentors, teachers, elders; to do good (and not harm); and to be grateful for what we have. Participants will also get a chance to write their own promises!
