An effective church staff team is greater than the sum of its parts. Whether you’re building a new team, or looking to strengthen and improve an established one, “Nurturing Church Staff Teams” explores what makes a church staff team effective. This self-facilitated course is intended for all church staff members, including ministry personnel, administrators, custodians, musicians and choir directors, communications personnel, and child and youth leaders. Through a series of guided sessions, your team members will be encouraged to examine their roles in relation to one another, understand each other's gifts and personalities, and work intentionally on the team relationship. Together, you will learn strategies to manage conflict, practice giving and receiving feedback, and reflect on your communication to enrich the health of your team and model effective teamwork to your congregation.
If your team is experiencing some challenges or is in a situation of conflict, we recommend contacting your regional council for facilitation resources.
