Hi everyone, my name is Ken Lavigne, and I’m part of Chemainus United Church on Vancouver Island. I’m really excited to be here and to start learning alongside all of you.
What I hope to gain from this course is a better understanding of how to craft meaningful and engaging worship services that connect people not only to the message but also to each other. I want to learn the nuts and bolts of lay worship leading while also exploring creative ways to make scripture, music, and prayer come alive.
Back in my congregation, I’m looking forward to using what I learn here to help lead services with confidence, care, and a sense of welcome — to help create moments where people feel God’s presence in a real and approachable way.
