The Preaching Stream is designed for people eager to deepen their understanding of faith and the Bible within the Anglican or Lutheran framework. Moreover, if you've ever aspired to learn how to prepare and deliver a sermon as a layperson in your church or have wanted to get more out of a sermon, this stream is tailored specifically to meet your needs.
Upon completion of this stream, you will be prepared biblically, theologically, and practically to craft and deliver a sermon.
About this course:
The Preaching Stream is composed of seven asynchronous courses, allowing your to progress at your convenience without any time constraints. These courses offer a varied learning experience, incorporating both videos and textual readings. Throughout all seven courses, you are encouraged to journal your reflections on how the content you are learning relates to your life and ministry. Additionally, you will be given numerous supplementary resources to dive deeper into each topic if you wish. What sets these courses apart is the diverse perspectives brought by the five instructors who have developed each one.
What you'll learn:
You will learn background knowledge of the Old and New Testaments, reflect on core aspects of Theology, and learn to interpret Scripture. The stream culminates with two preaching courses on the development and delivery of sermons where you will learn what is necessary to prepare, develop, and deliver a sermon.
