“Creation, Remembrance and Power: Resources for leading worship”

Three monthly Sessions, and asynchronous forum discussion in between sessions.

September, October, November 2023

Three monthly ”live” Sessions, and forum discussion in between sessions. The “live” sessions will run for 90 minutes each.

In these sessions, we shall be engaging lectionary readings related to three Sundays that occur in the Fall. The scriptures designated for those days could also be used for other Sundays during the year:

  • Thanksgiving Sunday (part of the Season of Creation)
  • Remembrance Day (or Peace Sunday)
  • Reign of Christ (or a Sunday dealing with leadership and/or power)

The group’s engagement with the scriptures will function as a gateway to a discussion about a related doctrine or practice.

There will be two options for registration:

1. Taking the sessions for your own interest. There is no evaluation of your participation, or

2. More formally engaging the materials in order to receive a ‘certificate of completion’ so that you might show your Regional Council Committee that you have done some continuing education.
