This "Refresher" course is for those who have already taken the United Church Introductory course, either online or in a face-to-face setting offered by one of our staff. Note that the Retiring with Grace Refresher content is not suitable/applicable for lay persons.

In this 2.5-hour course we'll continue to reflect the concept of personal and professional boundaries, and how that can help enhance the ministry we are engaged in. The case studies in this program will focus the issues that face ministers who are retired, or who are planning to retire soon. How do you navigate the change in status, as you move from active ministry into the next stage of life? How does your relationship to the denomination change? What are the "rules" and guidelines which allow for a grace-filled retirement? Note that for information regarding financial planning for retirement in this program; we recommend that those planning for retirement also consider taking the Pension Information Seminar as we will not be covering this topic in this course.

Cost

The tuition fee for this course is $29.99. If you are a lay person or a Licensed Lay Worship Leader, please pay this amount.

In some Provinces, employers may not charge employees for mandatory educational programs. Accordingly, if you are Ministry Personnel, you're welcome to adjust the fee to $0 when you check out, if you choose to.
