This is an intensive course. For a general “What’s A Giving Program” course, please sign up for “Getting Started in Stewardship”.
Come as a Team of 3-5
This course is designed for you and your Stewardship Team to develop the resources you need to get your Congregational Giving Program off the ground! Each giving team consists of 3-5 people who are organising your giving program, plus the minister or key lay leader if you are without a minister. A smaller team means more work for each team-member.
Our time together will facilitate building relationships between
communities of faith, so you will be able to encourage each other in
your stewardship work.
When you register for this program, we'll send you a link that you can forward to the other team members from your Community of Faith. They can use this link to register at no extra charge.
What you'll Learn
As part of developing generosity as a spiritual practice, you will:
- Invite people to intentionally and prayerfully consider their giving
- Run a successful congregational giving program
- Increase financial resources available to your community of faith
- Develop generosity as a spiritual practice.
How it works
The module begins with you gathering some basic data about your community of faith and then proceeds into two 2-hour online sessions over two weeks. The week between is time to complete assignments to help you make decisions and set up materials for your giving program. Following the second session, you will book time with your “local” Stewardship Support staff to work one-on-one to help you prepare your materials so that you can run your program. Staff are also available throughout the course for support and coaching.
Teams from three or four Communities of Faith will join together in each cohort. Be sure that all members of your team can attend the same online sessions.
Data will be collected before and after the module in order to measure results and celebrate your success.
Choose your Cohort
The program is offered twice this month. When you register you'll be given the choice between Tuesday or Wednesday meeting times. Please ensure that all members of your team are available for the same meetings!
- Cohort 1: Tues. Nov 19 and Dec 3 from 6-8pm Eastern
- Cohort 2: Wed. Nov 20 and Dec 4 from 1-3pm Eastern

Invitation to participate in "Grace Economics"
The
expected tuition fee for a course of this complexity would be $100 per
congregation. However, we understand that congregations vary enormously
in their ability to contribute to the costs. Therefore we invite you to
choose a tuition fee that fits the means of your own Community of Faith
-- anywhere from $0 - $200 for this course.
