Church buildings are more than bricks and
mortar, they are also places of worship, community, and memory. How we use or
transform these spaces reflects our deepest beliefs, and property
decision-making can be an explicitly faith-based process.
Next Session: Wednesday December 10 at 7 pm ET
Topic: The
Work of Trustees:
Trustees
offer a ministry of care that is essential to every community of faith. They
hold congregational property in trust, ensure it is used appropriately, and
safeguard it on behalf of the whole church community. Many Trustees step into
this work quietly and faithfully—often without realizing just how significant
their role truly is.
This
month’s Property Network gathering will focus on:
• The core responsibilities of Trustees—legal, practical, and spiritual
• How Trustees work alongside governing bodies and property committees
• What Trustees are empowered to do, and where decisions belong to others
• Good practices that strengthen communication and stewardship
Whether
you are just beginning or have many years of service, this session offers a
supportive space to learn, share, and ask questions. Come add your insight to
the conversation as we strengthen this important ministry together.
