🌍Together for the Love of Creation Earth Week invites you to a transformative webinar addressing climate realities in the Philippines, the continent of Africa, and Canada.

🚀Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield reminds us, "From space, you see our planet as a fragile, beautiful, interconnected system, and it's a powerful reminder of our shared humanity.” This sentiment sets the stage for our discussion.

🗣️Ecumenical Leaders: Hear from community-rooted ecumenical leaders who advocate for Climate Justice globally. Engage in a rich dialogue on the root causes of environmental suffering, testimonies, and a call to holistic transformation inspired by love and faith.

🙏Faith as a Catalyst: Discover how faith can inspire radical justice and environmental activism. As we approach a federal election and celebrate Easter during Earth Week, we yearn for spiritual and prophetic leadership.

💡Practical Insights for Congregations: Learn actionable steps to implement in your congregations, fostering environmental stewardship and justice.

Rev. Phyllis Byrd is the Director of Just Communities program of the Organization of African Instituted Churches in Nairobi, Kenya.  She works with communities deeply impacted by climate change through drought, cyclones, and floods, destroying crops, livelihoods, housing and infrastructure.  Phyllis participated recently in the United Nations COP 28 and COP29.

We are all part of an interconnected web of life that calls us to deep change. What we do affects us all.”

Patricia Mari T. Mungcal serves as Assistant Program Secretary, Faith, Witness, and Service of the National Council of Churches in the Philippines. She works with farmers, fishers and students facing and responding to climate-induced storms, heatwaves, insecurities and threats to livelihoods, prioritizing human rights and people-centered development.  At the UN Climate Change Conference, COP 29, she called for radical action from the heart,

“It’s okay to grieve for our planet, our communities, our future.  It comes out of love. But don’t grieve alone.  We need to come together. When we come together, we find solidarity, and out of that solidarity comes action.”

Rev. Dr. Jessica Hetherington is a United Church of Canada minister and eco-theologian who inspires people of faith to live out their discipleship in response to the climate and ecological crisis.
