Course Overview
This course fulfills mandatory training requirements for Creating Safe and Respectful Environments Policy and Procedures for Ministry Personnel, Candidates and Licensed Lay Worship Leaders.
What You’ll Learn
We’ll explore common boundary issues in ministry and expand your toolkit for navigating complex situations. Through discussion and case studies, you’ll:
- Identify best practices for maintaining safe and respectful environments.
- Learn strategies for handling challenging boundary scenarios.
- Share insights with church leaders across the country.
The session includes video clips from FaithTrust Institute and real-life Canadian case studies to spark conversation in plenary and small groups. Delivered via Zoom, you’ll receive connection details and preparatory materials before the course.
By the end, you’ll leave with practical approaches to ensure the church remains a safe, hospitable space for all.
Cost
The tuition fee for this course is $49.99. If you are a lay person or a Licensed Lay Worship Leader, please pay this amount. In some Provinces, employers may not charge employees for mandatory educational programs. Accordingly, if you are Ministry Personnel, you're welcome to adjust the fee to $0 when you check out, if you choose to. If you decide to contribute towards the cost of this program regardless, please accept our thanks!
Completion of Course
Upon completion of your course, you will have the opportunity to print out your completion certificate and provide it to the person in your Judicatory to whom your attendance should be reported.
