Course Overview

This 2-hour refresher is for those who have completed the United Church Introductory course. 

Sustaining the Soul: Self-Care in Ministry is a boundaries refresher that explores how self-care supports healthy, ethical, and sustainable ministry. Participants will reflect on signs of depletion, compassion fatigue, over-functioning, and boundary drift, while considering practical ways to stay grounded and accountable. The session connects self-care with the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice and invites participants to create one small, realistic self-care covenant for the season ahead.

Cost

The tuition fee for this course is $29.99. If you are a lay person or a Licensed Lay Worship Leader, please pay this amount. In some Provinces, employers may not charge employees for mandatory educational programs. Accordingly, if you're Ministry Personnel, you're welcome to adjust the fee to $0 when you check out, if you choose to. If you decide to contribute towards the cost of this program regardless, please accept our thanks!

Completion of Course

Upon completion of your course, you will have the opportunity to print out your completion certificate. Uploads to ChurchHub are completed on a weekly basis. Once the facilitator marks you complete, it will take one week to be reflected in your Education profile in ChurchHub.
