Affirm United/S’affirmer Ensemble focussess on education, action and advocacy, and support. We work with communities of faith to become affirming, and once they are affirming we offer resources and ongoing support. The Affirm United/S’affirmer Ensemble Network is a way that we can offer that ongoing support. Affirming communities of faith are members of Affirm United/Saffirmer Ensemble. Individuals can also become members.
The Coffee Hour is one way we connect with the membership of Affrim United/S’affirmer Ensemble. The Coffee Hour is a place to bring your questions, share your stories and hear from others.
We are requesting that all who are members of Affirm United/S’affirmer Ensemble register for the Network to be kept up to date on upcoming events such as the Coffee Hour and our Annual Conference which will be held in October.

Rev. Ruth Noble has been the Executive Director since August 2024. Ruth has been in The United Church of Canada since birth. She followed in her father’s footsteps and became a minister 28 years ago, where Ruth was in ministry in 5 pastoral charges and also worked at the Head Office of The United Church of Canada telling the stories of Mission & Service in print, video and photo.
As the Executive Director of Affirm United/S’affirmer Ensemble, Ruth has the privilege of working with awesome staff and volunteers to create a world of inclusion and safety for those on the margins. Affirm United publicly, intentionally and explicitly works to end faith-based trauma and hatred for the 2S and LGBTQIA+ communities while working alongside all those on the margins to create a path of reconciliation.
